VEFA Gallery, Torrance

VEFA Gallery invites you to a one-night-only surrealist culinary journey. Inspired by Salvador Dalí’s 1974 cookbook Les Diners de Gala, this exclusive five-course dinner will unfold inside our current exhibition “Surreality 101,” fusing food, art, and performance in a dreamlike setting.

Culinary historian Carolyn Tillie guides the evening with immersive storytelling and surrealist food history. Guests will enjoy:

  • A Casanova cocktail reception with hors d’œuvres

  • Five imaginative courses pulled from Dalí’s cookbook

  • Wine pairings and a champagne sorbet intermezzo

  • A live Spanish guitarist during the reception

  • An illustrated presentation on edible surrealism

  • A luxurious velvet gift bag with recipes and Dalinian treats

A portion of the revenue from each admission will be donated to Collage: A Place for Art & Culture, which hosts art and music programs in San Pedro and also donates musical instruments to graduating high school students, Altadena and Palisades musicians who lost theirs in the fires, and others whose lives will be enriched by music.

This event is limited to 38 seats only and tickets will sell quickly.
